Though some of these tasks may seem tedious and tiresome, the more often you put these tasks into practice the more fun you will have doing them. Here are just a few suggestions for you to try:1. Gather all your camping equipment, etc, in a corner of a room and keep adding to it as you think of it. Start weeks in advance if youre new to camping.2. For easy storage in your vehicle, use basket shelves.3. Use sports bags for clothes instead of cumbersome suitcases.4. Place items at easy reach that you will have to use first when you arrive at your camping ground.5. Place heavier items in the bottom of your car boot and lighter items on the top.6. Make sure all heavy items are secure to avoid any nasty incidents when traveling.7. It is far more important to have equipment that is durable and reliable than the flashiest and shiniest new-fangled way out gear.8. Pack binoculars.9. After every dinner under the stars discuss what the next days menu will be.10. Always take a good first aid book with you.11. Carry a comprehensive first aid kit for trips to uninhabited areas.12. Always carry a first aid kit whether you are going on a day trip or an extended journey.13. Consider carrying anti-biotics in case anyone in your group is prone to infections eg. Ear, nose and throat, etc.14. Consult your doctor for medications for vomiting and diarrhoea, etc.15. Consider doing a first aid course if no-one else in your group is qualified.16. Be well-versed in what to do in the event of spider or snake bite.17. Fit your vehicle with a CB or UHF radio.18. Keep bug repellants away from all plastics. They actually will dissolve plastic glasses, Swiss army knife handles, etc.19. Lightly soak a cotton bandana in insect repellant and tie it around your neck to keep bugs clear of your neck.20. Lessen the pain of mosquito bites with household ammonia and water. Apply a wet salt pack to hornet, wasp and bee stings and allow it to dry.Years ago, camping food was seen as boring, simple, and anything but fun and attractive to look at. However, those times are long gone. Its possible for you to enjoy the same quality of meals you now enjoy in your home kitchen in your campfire kitchen with little fuss.Remember that the number one priority of every single person on a camping trip is to have fun. Cooks should not have to worry whether they will end up slaving in front of a dutch oven for hours on end only to create an inedible glob of something thats supposed to be edible that no-one will eat, and will leave your friends and families all growling like bears with sore paws for the remainder of the trip.
Traveling to a different country can be a superb as well as an intricate experience. Its very difficult to be familiar with new language, legal systems and customs for unplanned travelers. You can have a lovely foreign experience with proper planning and guidance. Health and safety are the primary issues for the travelers. Whenever youre going to a trip with your family as well as alone youve to be very careful about your health because human body is so sensitive and cant adjust with a new environment immediately. If youre going to abroad, certain points should be kept in mind like: Check your visas & passport (if required). Fill the emergency information page of the passport carefully. Study consular information sheets or travel warnings for the city where you want to visit. Learn carefully all rules & regulations of foreign country. Be familiar with local laws and customs of the country where you want to travel. Obey U.S constitution because it keeps you safe in foreign country. Make at least two photocopies of your passport to avoid the harassment in case your passport is lost or stolen. You should leave one copy of your passport in your relative or friends house where youre live in. Make a list about your journey or the places where youll visit during foreign travel and leave a copy of it at your home so that your family members can easily contact you in case of emergency. Contact regularly with someone at your home. Dont spend time at unknown places. During your foreign travel dont accept things from strangers and dont handover your luggage to a stranger. Register yourself with the nearest U.S consulate/embassy before departure. Dont wear expensive jewelry or clothing due to safety reasons. Dont carry large amount of money and extra credit cards with you while traveling. Try to deal with authorized agents only at the time of exchanging money. Last but not the least, contact nearest U.S. embassy immediately at the time of trouble. Here are some health related instructions that are very much important while traveling to another country. Carry some medicines and medical supplies that youre using regularly because its very difficult to find certain medicines in other country. If you find that vary medicine it is not sure that the formulation will be same. It can easily cause allergy or other bad effects to your health. You should be careful about your meal while traveling. Try to follow a healthy diet chart that will help you to be fit & fine. Carry a written copy of your medical history that includes all information about you like: name, address & phone number blood type vaccinations name of your doctor and doctors address & emergency phone numbers copy of health insurance that describes your policy number a list that shows your current health problems like heart disease or diabetes record of all allergies an alternative phone number instead of your parents Dont forget to carry a first-aid kit with you. While focusing on these guidelines youll enjoy your travel and feel relax during your journey.
From their construction throughout the centuries the Pyramids of Giza have represented mystery, wonder and awe to all. They are perhaps the only great architecture of the ancients to have survived more or less completely intact. The oldest pyramid at Giza is the Great Pyramid of Cheops, also known as Khufu, and is the largest known pyramid in existence. It was built around 2500 BC of over two million limestone blocks, each almost three tons in weight. An astonishing achievement and is believed to be the work of around twenty thousand slave workers.Nearby are the smaller pyramids belonging to Cheopss son and grandson as well as the Great Sphinx, known as Abu l-Hol, a half-lion, half-man figure of majestic proportions. Each evening at dusk an enormous sound and light show is played out and, despite its rather tacky touristy nature, is a real fast-track introduction to Egyptian history. Scout through the many persistent camel drivers around the site for a decent tour of the pyramids on humpback, with the best time of day being at daybreak or sundown as these times are quieter and offer the most breathtaking atmosphere to view the pyramids in.As perhaps the best possible example of real estate location the forty acre Mena House offers rolling views of lush parkland and beautiful gardens right on the Saharan doorstep with the pyramids as a backdrop. Before 1870 the Mena House was King Khedive Ismails official hunting lodge, yet today it offers serene escape from the heady tourist areas that surround the Pyramids. Featuring and eighteen hole golf course, a gorgeous swimming pool set right in the lush gardens, and a certain aire of colonial grandeur felt perhaps most on the breakfast terrace, which Evelyn Waugh described best as being like having the Prince of Wales at the next table. To enjoy the Mena best choose a room in the old yet beautifully restored suites for a grand view of the Pyramids.
You love having a second home but the mortgage is putting a crater in your wallet. Many second home owners turn to renting their property as a vacation rental to help defray the costs of ownership. How do you price a vacation home rental without overcharging but making enough to cover your costs? Do your research.Find out what other owners of, similar sized homes in the area are charging. You can ask a local real estate agent for a price range, scan local papers or go online. There are also vacation rental sites like eVaca.com. These types of sites have advertisements from owners around the world and weekly rates for the properties are listed. The time of year you rent out a property is important as well. If you want to rent out a ski lodge in Vermont, August is not going to be your high time of year, but January will. If you are going to rent the property in an off time of year you will not be able to charge as much as if you were renting the property in a peak time. You also want to figure out what lengths you want to rent your property for. A Florida property in July near the beach will go for top dollar for a week. However, that same property in January you might only attract the snowbirds who want to rent at a lower price and rent it out on a monthly basis. You have to answer questions like, do I want to mess around with weekend or nightly rentals and is it worth the hassle.Figure out how many weeks you need to rent your property in order to make a profit or at least pay the bills. Say you need to make $12000 a year in rental income. If, after looking at other rentals, a rate of maybe $1,000 a week seems reasonable than you know you need to rent the property out for at least 12 weeks a year. But you might have to rent for a few more weeks at a lower rate to make up for off peak times of the year or if you do not get someone to fill every vacant period. Most important, do not forget to spend time in your own vacation home. Owning the property and not being able to enjoy it defeats the purpose of having that second home!
People are wanting to fly to international destinations for vacations but planning a holiday getaway can easily turn into a stressful venture when the matter of costs comes up. However, airfare can be very expensive. Air fare by itself can kill the excitement. And when people already factor in accommodations, food, and shopping, or any other would just give up and stay home.If you think on taking a vacation that requires any sort of wide planning, such as out of the country or worldwide even to a popular destination in a different state, it is probably going to be necessary for you to enlist the services of a travel agency.Try to find out which travel agency you are considering is helpful with. Agencies with more extensive (think global) affiliations are more likely to be able to get you lower prices and added favors for your vacations. Keep in mind, however, that just because they are affiliated with a large group does not mean that the agency itself has to be bigger. Common knowledge would suggest that the bigger the agency, the easier it is to negotiate lower prices. At last, ask for references from the agency of both clients and dealers. Clients of course, are people like your self who have used the agencys services to visit on vacations earlier. Dealers are the people with whom the agency deals in order to purchase items such as hotel rooms and airline tickets, and will often have a clearer thought of how the agency operates and where or not they can do all that they claim as far as cost cutting and favors.
